Sony Xperia Tablet Z Kitchen Edition launch

         Sony has launch the Sony Xperia Tablet Z Kitchen Edition, a new variant of its  tablet.

The Xperia Tablet Z Kitchen Edition comes with 32GB internal memory and includes some preloaded apps for cooking. The company mentions that the tablet includes $115 worth of recipes, content and accessories and many more. The Xperia Tablet Z Kitchen Edition also packs an iGrill, which is an app-enabled Bluetooth or wireless digital meat thermometer that can help monitor food from up to 200 feet away. The iGrill can alert the cook via the Xperia Tablet Z!!!!!!. The company is alsoworking on a lightweight foldable stand with tablet.

Other preloaded apps include Big Oven, which offers 2,60 ,000+ recipes, Evernote Food, Juicing Recipes, which offers information on juicing, and Food Planner Pro that allows users to keep a meal plan and lets recipe collections sync between multiple device. The company also includes 260 preloaded classic recipes and a how-to video series provided by Saveur on the tablet. The rest of the specifications are identical to the original  Xperia Tablet Z, which was launched in January,2013.

The Xperia Tablet  Z features a 10.1-inch display with full-HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) display. It runs Android 4.1 and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB of RAM. The major USP of the tablet, however, is its form factor. At 6.9mm, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is currently amongst the slimmest tablets around and weighs 495 grams in world. Nokia shuts down PC version of Nokia Music service in India



it looks like Nokia wants to keep its exclusive Nokia Music service exclusive to its mobile phones.
 
Nokia has shuttered the Indian Nokia Music store website and has put a message on the landing pagethat the site is no longer available and that users can still enjoy Nokia Music on their Nokia phones provided they have a subscription. It categorically states that users will not be able to download music from Nokia Music through the web browser or through Nokia Music Player, a desktop client that also offers access to the store and lets users download music.
 
It's worth pointing out that Nokia never allowed users to download music directly from its website, and that it required a plugin and the phone to be connected to the PC. This is one reason the service didn't work on Macs. Also, downloads through the Nokia Music Player had to be through an authorised PC and users could not change a device before a period of 90 days.
 
The development was first spotted by MediaNama. Following the report, a Nokia spokespersonconfirmed to BGR.in that desktop downloads were turned off for new subscribers in December 2011. So, in line with the expiration of the typical 1-year Nokia Music Unlimited subscription of users who signed before that period, the company decided to shut down the website as well as downloads through the Nokia Music Player software.
 
However, we can confirm that desktop-based registrations were working for new subscribers even after December 2011. It's interesting to note that a report filed in December 2012 by UnleashthePhones had informed that Nokia had discontinued desktop registrations citing a customer support email from Nokia.  
 
Nokia also lists some FAQs on the Indian Nokia Music landing page, which mention that Nokia Music Unlimited subscribers can continue to download music on their mobile phones, and that users who no longer have a Nokia mobile phone would not be able to access the service. However, music downloaded through the phone can be transferred to computers. 

It's worth mentioning that Nokia only offers 32kbps low-quality music through the Nokia Music mobile app citing bandwidth concerns. The music downloaded through PCs had a bit-rate of 256kbps and was DRM-free.
 
The move means that Nokia Music would no longer offer high-quality music downloads. Nokia also clarified that existing users will still be able to renew their subscriptions. The Nokia Music website used to allow users to redeem subscription vouchers. We're not sure how renewals would work, now.
 
Nokia offers Mixed Radio music streaming service with its Nokia Music service. Nokia Music with Mixed Radio comes bundled with Nokia's Lumia devices, with some Symbian devices such as the Pureview 808 (via software update) and on Nokia Asha 305, Nokia Asha 308, Nokia Asha 310 and Nokia Asha 311 in addition to some other Series 40 devices.  
 
We don't think a lot of people used the PC-based Nokia Music store, but loyal users would miss high quality downloads and the convenience that it offered.

                                             Apple says its next mobile operating system, iOS 7, will be available as a free download on Sept 18.

                                           Craig Federighi, head of software at Apple Inc., said at an event at the company's Cupertino, Calif., headquarters that "downloading iOS 7 is like getting an all new device."

The new system can be downloaded on the iPhone 4 and later models, as well as on the tablets beginning with the iPad 2.

                                            also says it expects to ship its 700 millionth iOS device next month. Apple CEO Tim Cook predicts that iOS 7 will become the most popular mobile operating system in the world.

The company is expected to unveil new phones later Tuesday.

Android 4.3 coming to the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S3 in October

Samsung gave us plenty to think about during its Unpacked event yesterday, as it launched three different products, the Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy Gear, and the 2014 edition Galaxy Note 10.1. Toward the end of the show, another interesting morsel of news was slipped in, which potentially went unnoticed amongst all the tech demos. Apparently, owners of the SamsungGalaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 smartphones should look out for an Android 4.3 update very soon.

It’s no surprise the Galaxy S4 is in-line to receive Google’s latest version of Android, but it’s refreshing to hear the older Galaxy S3 is still supported, although the device can hardly be referred to as out of date. We don’t know if the update will cover the various Galaxy S4 spin-offs, such as the S4 Active and Zoom, but there’s a good chance it will. The update is expected to be sent out in October, but as the comment was made during a busy presentation, no further details were provided.

That means we don’t know if the October date is when the update will be sent to carriers, or if it’s already there and being tested. We’re going to say it’s probably the former, which will have a serious impact on the delivery date, as network testing programs can take several months to complete. Still, a 2013 rollout is still achievable provided everything goes smoothly in carrier testing.

Samsung’s good heart may not be the reason we’re getting the upgrade though, as it surely has an ulterior motive – to give as many people access to the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as possible. The Gear is only compatible with hardware running Android 4.3 and at the moment, that’s only the Galaxy Note 3 and the 2014 Note 10.1. Add the many millions of Galaxy S3 and S4 owners into the mix, and Samsung’s sales projections for the watch rise considerably.
